PLUMBERS: Apprentices and Journeymen

Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drainage systems. Identifies plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and takes necessary corrective action. Performs necessary clerical duties with job and is able to read blue prints.

Construction Executive

Plans and directs all aspects of the organization's construction function. Oversees all construction projects. Directs project leads and ensures all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to pre-established specifications. Communicates organization's objectives to state, city or local government and other necessary associations. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of experience in the field.

Construction Management Director

Oversees all construction activities. Supervises all personnel working on construction project including construction and project managers, field staff, and administrative personnel. Serves as primary customer contact. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in the field.

Project Manager

Oversees and directs construction management. Communicates directly with contractors/designers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling. Prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 7 years of experience in the field.

Construction Manager

Responsible for the overall management of construction projects. May oversee multiple projects at one time. Ensures construction projects are completed on time and to the client's satisfaction. Assists in staffing, outlining project plans, setting project goals/deadlines, and evaluating performance. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the plumbing field or in a related area.

Field Superintendent

Oversees the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project. Works with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe. Resolves contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.


Forecasts project costs. Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications. Considers raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, labor and transportation for estimations. Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-4 years of experience in the plumbing field or in a related area.


Responsible for the planning and scheduling of construction work and work crew. Gathers and analyzes information to prepare reports on the progress of projects. Ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy. Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects. Requires a bachelor's degree and 0-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
